Established in November 2005 by movement director Lucy Cullingford and contemporary magician John van der Put, standnotamazed create cabaret and theatrical work to elevate and promote the art of magic.

With performances that blur the line between the real and the imagined, the company seek to put the art back into the artifice, reclaiming magic from the variety hall and restoring it to its theatrical roots.

At the heart of our work is a desire to seek and explore the magic in the mundane and the everyday. In the rehearsal room we seek a collaborative process in which the imaginations of each participant is fully celebrated.

Our vision of theatre incorporates cutting edge magic, dance and text in equal measure, attracting a new audience to the possibilities of truly magical theatre.
